Having a stretch of 900 meters from KR Circle to JLB Road, Devaraj Urs road is one of the busiest roads in the city.  The four-hour parking decision was taken at a meeting, held in Devaraja Traffic Police station. Shop owners, traders, and members of the traffic advisory committee took part in the meeting. The majority of them agreed the rule.

The Traffic Police have written to the authorities concerned to make space for shop owners to park vehicles inside Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan, Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry, Gaadi Chowk and Town Hall.
