Piracy sites leak Master film online

The highly-anticipated film release in India post lockdown, Vijay starrer Master is hitting screens with its housefull shows. The movie was released on January 13.

The movie directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj is the first movie to release in theatre amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The film stars Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, with Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in supporting roles.

Master full movie leaked

The movie has now become the latest target of piracy sites such as Tamilrockers and Telegram, and others.  

Tamilrockers, a prominent pirated site is accused of releasing pirated copies of several films.

The anti-piracy cell of the Kerala police on March 14, 2018 arrested 5 people allegedly belonging to two different piracy websites – 3 from Tamilrockers and 2 from DVD rockers.

On October 20, 2020 as per the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), a US copyright law, several takedown notices were sent to TamilRockers on behalf of Amazon by Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and domain was suspended.

Scenes leaked before release

The day before the release, some scenes of Master was found leaked and circulating in various social platforms. Lokesh Kanakaraj, himself shared this information with the fans and requested not to watch and share the leaked clips.

The makers of the film, XB Film Creators also took to Twitter and requested not to share the leaked clips.

As per various reports, the source of the leak has been identified now. A staff of Sony is accused of leaking the video and the makers are reportedly planning to take action against the company.
