Reliance Retail Buys Majority Stake In Online Pharmacy Netmeds For ₹ 620 Crore

India’s business magnet Reliance Industries entered pharma sector after RIL announced on Tuesday that it bought 60% stake in the online pharmacy Netmeds.

It is said that RIL bought 60% of the stake in the online pharmacy company for Rs 620 crores deal. After the acquisition, Reliance is against the e-commerce giant Amazon in the deal. With Jiomart, an online grocery platform, the Reliance Retail of RIL has now taken leap by acquiring the Netmeds an online pharma company. As per the reports, the deal values Netmeds around Rs 1,000 crores.
