Tripura Govt to provide free napkins to girl students

The Government of Tripura has launched a scheme to distribute free napkins to students from class 6 to 12. Education Minister Latanlal Nath made the announcement. The procedure is part of menstrual hygiene.

The minister made the announcement at a press conference. The scheme will help female students maintain proper menstrual hygiene. It will help gain more understanding about menstrual health.

1,68,252 children will benefit from the scheme called ‘Kishori Suchitha’. Napkins will be made available for both government and private school students. For this the government will set aside Rs 3,61,63,248 for three years.
