Covid-19 vaccine will arrive soon in the state, says Karnataka health minister

Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar said that Covid-19 vaccines are expected to arrive in the state soon. The vaccine would be administered as per the instructions or guidelines issued by the Centre.

He also said that 13,90,000 vials of Covid-19 vaccine are being dispatched to Karnataka. 235 sites have been identified for vaccination in the state. Health workers will be given priority for the vaccination. The next phase will include people aged above 60, police and revenue department staffs, he added.

No bird flu in the state

The minister also said that there is no case of bird flu in the state and all the tests done so far have turned negative.
