SSLC results announced: 71.80% results with 6 toppers to the state

Bengaluru: Amid coronavirus crisis, the education department successfully conducted the SSLC examinations and the results were announced on Monday. The total pass percentage is 71.80% with 6 students scoring highest marks.

Even when most of the states cancelled the SSLC exams and pushed the students to next level owing to Covid-19 crisis, Karnataka battled it all and held examinations across the state. On Monday at 3pm, the results were announced. In comparison to previous year, the total results is less by 1.9%. Like every year, girls have scored more marks than boys, 77.74% of girls have cleared SSLC whereas 66.41% boys have passed the examinations.

As many as 8,11,050 students attended the exams conducted in the month of June and July, out of which, 5,82,316 have passed. A total of 6 students have scored 625 out of 625 marks. Anush from Dakshina Kannada, Sannidhi from Sirsi, Chirayu and Nikhilesh from Bengaluru, Dheeraj Reddy from Mandya and Tanmayee from Chikkamagalur have scored 100% results.

Instead of giving ranks to the districts, the department has decided on grading them. Chikkabalapur, Bengaluru rural, Madhugiri, Mandya, Chitradurga, Kolar, Udupi, Ramanagar, Hassan, Uttara Kannada districts have secured A grades. Chikkaballapur has come first, Bengaluru rural second and Madhugiri stood third on the table, whereas Yadagiri is at the bottom.

The results can be viewed on kseeb.kar.nic.in, karresults.nic.in and results.nic.in . On Tuesday, the results will be announced at respective schools.
