Entry to Chamundi Hills to be restricted on August 19

Mysuru: Cases of Covid-19 are soaring high and in a precautionary move, the district administration has restricted the entry of devotees to the temple top on August 19.

It is New Moon day or Amavasya on August 19, Wednesday on which more number of people will throng the temple top for puja and rituals. Since the cases are seeing a upwards surge, precautionary measures are taken.

Besides Chamundi Hills, entry to Chamundi Temple, devotees are not allowed to Utnalli’s Jwalamukhi Tripirasundari Temple on August 19 (New Moon dat) and 21st (Gowri festival).
