It is 70th birthday of Indian author, chairperson of Infosys Foundation, Sudha Murthy. On this occasion, whole of Karnataka came together to remember and appreciate her charity works and service towards the mankind.

Sudha Murthy who is the wife of Founder of Infosys, Narayana Murthy, has penned numerous books including Mahashwetha, Wise and Otherwise, The day I stopped drinking milk and Three Thousand Stitches. Murthy was born in Shiggoan a village in the northern part of Karnataka, she became the first female engineer hired at TELCO.

Sudha Murthy is appreciated widely across the country and respected in the state for her service towards mankind, especially women and downtrodden society. Murthy is known for her service towards eradicating Devadasi system which was rampant in the northern Karnataka.

On the occasion of her 70th birthday, people in the state took to their WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media platforms to speak of her charity and humanitarian works. Her valuable words and quotes were celebrated today.
