Ronaldo’s 760th goal: Is he the highest goalscorer of all time?

Cristiano Ronaldo was hailed as the most prolific professional goalscorer in the history of football. He scored his 760th career goal in Juventus 2-0 Italian Super Cup win over Napoli. Ronaldo has surpassed the record of 759 goals set by Austrian legend Josef Bican.

Ronaldo was lauded for his achievement by fans and professional players all over the world.

Bican, as well as Pele and Romario, scored in excess of 1,000 goals during their careers. Those statistics include strikes in amateur, unofficial and friendly matches.

The five-time Champions League winner’s most prolific scoring season, though, was in 2011-12, with 69 goals overall.
