Indian captain Ajinkya Rahane filled hearts setting an example by paying tribute to the Australian spinner who struggled in the 100th Test of his career, during the India Vs Australia Test Cricket, at Gabba.

The Indian captain honored Nathan Lyon, the Australian spinner who completed the 100th Test, with a signed jersey. Rahane presented the jersey to Lyon before he lifted the trophy after winning the four-match series 2-1, and congratulated him on completing the 100th match of his career.

These scenes, which were a direct testament to the decency of the much-discussed series, went viral in an instant.

Former Indian batsman VVS Laxman took to Twitter to congratulate Ajinkya Rahane.

Laxman tweeted that it was another example of Rahane’s sportsmanship spirit and how polite he was even after the thrilling victory.

Nathan Lyon made his Test debut in 2011. Lyon has taken three wickets in two innings in Brisbane Test. This took his total test wickets to 399.

Rahane was lauded on social media for his exemplary performance in the series, inspite of having issues of racism against Indian players. Former cricketers have hailed the Indian captain’s action.
