Sreeshanth marks a competitive comeback

After an almost seven-year gap, Indian fast bowler S Sreeshanth marked his comeback in competitive cricket with a wicket in Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament, at Wankhede stadium on Monday. Kerala beat Puducherry in a Group E match by six wickets. The Kerala pacer took the wicket of Fabid Ahmed of Puduchery team pitching on the middle-stump. Kerala won the match by six wickets.

He wrote in twitter,

“My dear loved ones , please never ever give up on ur dreams..always keep at it no matter how small ur chances are,,if thr is no door..,build one nd keep going strong… God is great ..Thnks a lot for all the support u all have shown through these years..love u all”

Sreesanth, while playing for Rajasthan Royals was banned by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in August 2013 for indulging in alleged spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League (IPL).  Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan were also banned. However, last year, his lifetime ban was reduced to seven years. He became eligible to play BCCI-affiliated cricket in September last year.
